Motia Attar

The botanical name of Motia attar is Jasmine sambac and is a native of India. The oil is derived from the Palmarosa plant with a height being 6-8 feet. The flowers of the plant are easily identifiable as they are evergreen white flowers with three leaves. The steam distillation method is not recommended for its extraction because the jasmine plant is very delicate, therefore, the Hydro Distillation method is used which fully preserves the aroma of the plant in the resultant oil. The oil so obtained is pale yellow in color with a sweet, spicy fragrance of jasmine.  It also known as Motia Attar, is an enchanting essential oil derived from the delicate petals of the flower.
